Grant Information

The Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board first began offering equipment grants for law enforcement agencies in 2007 with the passage of the original Camera Grant Act to help police agencies obtain in-car dash camera recording systems. This program was revised and expanded to include officer-worn body cameras in 2015. In 2021, the Board was authorized to offer recruitment and retention grants and in 2022 we began offering National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) equipment and support grants.

The chart below provides the pertinent information for each of our current grant programs.
